Going to the dyno!

DO NOT get on it if your A/F is above 14's in the upper rpms!!!
Optimal a/f should be 13.1 across the board on a NA mustang. If your A/F was 14,15,16 the dyno owner should have stopped it!!!!!
Was he wanting to see your **** blow?????

What are you kidding man? The car is STOCK with 230rwhp. You think with all those mods hes STILL making that??? Or were you just being REDICULOUSLY sarcastic and by sayin you expect the worst, you expect him to be at the stock numbers again?

I was actually serious because I've seen GTs (5-speeds) put down disappointly low #s like that. And when it comes to dyos, too many ppl expect too much yet leave being sadly disappointed. I was simply warning him to not be surprised if his #s aren't what he's expecting.

But in the end, his stang ended up putting down more hp than expected, so it's all good.

So relax, take a deep breath, put the knife down, and have a cold hard one.

The dyno guy really didnt know what the heck he was doing( he knew how to hook it up and everything, but as far as what things mean....I think he may have said I was a little lean or something, but he really didnt care)..he said something like," i am not the normal guy that does this because he quit, im just doing this cause I was told too, so im just trying to get you in and out of here as quick as possable, so I can get back to other things" . I was like , "err ok"...I didnt get too mad because he said it in a calm relaxed tone, but it kinda bothered me. I asked him what type of dyno this was like 248 or what, and he took a glance around at teh controls, and was like "shoot I have no idea". I was like oh great... LOL. Oh well. EDIT, he did point out that it was running pretty lean after both pulls were done. Just remembered LOL. He didnt make a big deal about it though like my engine was in danger....didnt really realize it went over 15 at some points till I was in my car fixing to leave, and when driving down the highway.

It's the mods that are leaning it out. Mine ran mid 14s to low 15's on the A/F ratio with the factory tune. Which tune were you using from the 4 bank chip you have? At least one of the custom tunes on it should bring the A/F ratio down to 13 or lower.

No, that was on teh custom 93 tune....with the stock tune I could always smell gas and it seemed pretty rich...maybe it wasnt.....I cant imagine what AF im running on the street, especially at 100MPH in 4th with that sealed ram air shoving cold air down my engine LOL....I am thinking that JUST a tune will pick up a good 6-8RWHP accross the board from how it stands...then put the cams that = another 20-23 right out of the box (lean again prolly) then tune the car to those and your looking at another 10HP....I expect to gain a total of 35RWHP with cams and tune. And yea im not going to be getting on it no more, and I am thinking of switching to my stock program and run 93 octain in it untill I get the cams and tune. Just think, all of these races I have been posting, and 1 to 148MPH (87 tune on that one) and the other day against my friends 4 banger eagle talon (i lost...it pulled a little harder then my firends dyno tuned 02 M6 SS Camaro..bout 2 cars from 25-30 to 100ish)...man I could have wasted my engine had I not dynoed it LOL.
