good clutch for a 99 cobra manly street but little strip

what would be a good clutch for 99 cobra that is mostly for daily driving but like to go to the strip a few times a year also the car is stock for the most part just a off road x pipe and flowmaster cat back

I have a FRPP King Cobra and absolutely love it. Thing has lasted about 55,000 miles too. Granted I've never been to the strip, just Woodward International.

I've always been a fan of the CF Dual Friction. Feels great on the street, grabs on the strip.

I trashed my King Cobra for a Centerforce DF and absolutely LOVE it. I'm ga ga for my car all over again. P.S. replace your flywheel while your at it, dont machine your stock one.

I've just installed a Zoom Stage II. Not a lot of hype but a great kevlar clutch. No chatter what so ever and it grabs when you want it to.

Also, I believe you have an 11 inch clutch and King Cobra's don't come in 11 inch.

+1 on the CFDX. 3 out of 3 of my Mustangs that have needed clutches have gotten them, and there is no reason for trying another brand.

Don't know why you wouldn't want to resurface the flywheel though...I resurfaced all of mine, with great results...Did you have a problem with yours?
