A friend of mine has decided to sell her stang. A '96 tripple black vert with exhaust, cold air, black 17" bullit rims and a short throw. Needs a top, fuel sending unit/ float, heater core and tires. The engine is all stock and the paint is flawless as is the interior. She told me I could have it for $3500 but she was telling everyone else $5000. My ? is is it worth is and how hard is it for the do it yourselfer to put a vert top on. 5.0Resto has the top kits for like $379.99 so I was thinking bout going that way if I got it. She is seling it cause she got in a tight and needs to get rid of it.

Thanks,
Nate

Yea, give us a little more info. If it has low miles and is a GT thats actually a pretty decent deal for a nice vert

Maybe if it's a GT.
The heater core is going to be a bear!

If the engine were in good running order, I'd buy it for 3500. Seems like a pretty good deal. Its hard to find anything any cheaper that isn't wrecked or rusted out.

You could always skip replacing the heater core, pull it out and lose weight and only drive in the warm weather.
