I plan on going c&L 73mm maf, exploder intake and gt 40p heads over the winter, I am just making a good base and have a few hundred bucks to spend.

I would get heads and do it all at once. You will get a little gain from all of that but it will suck to take it all back apart when you get heads.

Yeah i just remembered that when I get the exploder intake it will hvae th 65mm tb already.

Thats not true at all.. My car picked up some. I picked up at least 2/10's from my 70mm. I had the same 60ft as well as it being hotter out.

The TB is not a restiction on the stock intake, are you saying its not at all possible that the track conditions or your driving were better? Like I said little to no benefit from a bigger TB on a stock intake and engine.
