Who is good and who isnt? CJ Pony Parts, Mustang Depot, Year 1, The Paddock???
And anyone I left out?
Who are you satisfied with? I am looking for price as well as quality/ fit.

Thanks all.

I have used National Parts Depot a lot and Mustangs Unlimited (very fast shippers). Most of them are very competitive in terms of products carried and price. The differentiator is service and both have been very good. Also had very good experiences with JMC Motorsports (really good with customer service). They carry more of the performance related stuff.

75% of the parts for my 66 came from National Parts Depot. 15% from Virgina Mustang, 10% from Texas Mustang and CJ Pony Parts.

I would NOT use California Mustang. I had two really bad experiences with that company.

I've bought from California Mustang a few times because I live really close to them. I've only had one issue once when their supplier couldn't deliver on time. It took many calls, but one helpful individual finally helped me get my refund by following up by himself personally through all of their internal departments.

Both my orders ended up being shipped 3 times each due to damaged parts. None of it the fault of the carrier.

I use Mustangs Unlimited and CJ pony the most. I have ordered from NPD and Virginia as well with food results. I had one bad experience with Mustangs Plus but it was resolved in a way that made me a very happy customer I would buy from them again.

I generally go with Street or Track, NPD, or Mustangs Plus.

On occasion I've used Delta Bay Mustang, John's Mustang, and Dallas Mustang and they have been pretty good.

I too had a bad experience with California Mustang.

I have had good experience w/ NPD, Paddock, and Mustangs Unlimited. Haven't had any experience w/ the others . . . yet. I'm sure I will, as I'm early in the game w/ my 68. I believe it's NPD that does not have online ordering, if that matters to you.

I have a sheet of paper that lists all of the shipping charges of the reputable companies (most of those mentioned in previous posts, and a few others), that I keep handy when I'm making a list of parts that I'm going to order. That way I can quickly compare bottom-line cost at each of them. Most of them are a % of the cost of the order.

Also keep in mind that prices are subject to change, even if your catalog is current. I've called a few times and the price listed in the catalog had changed slightly. Never anything to keep me from ordering, but it's good to know if you're trying to figure your budget.

Good luck!

EDIT: If you haven't already, you may want to contact all of the bigger companies and request a catalog--most are free or reasonably priced. Always makes for good reading late at night!

I'll throw in a good word for NPD as well. They have great customer service and surprisingly quick shipping, even up here to Canadaland. One place that I probably wouldn't deal with is California Mustang. Most of the time their prices are outrageous compared to the other places, at least in my experience.

I am looking at . . . front suspension upgrade

When the time comes for susp. upgrades, I would strongly recommend that you talk to John Dinkel (opentracker). Whether you're considering all-out racing, or just a better-handling street car, he is a great resource for setting you in the right direction. And, he often posts in the forums here--very accessible. He won't try to over-sell you, either. I ordered my spring perches (great quality) from him, and I got them very quickly. I'm actually planning to shoot him an e-mail today or tomorrow RE: some parts that I'm going to order in the next couple of weeks.

NPD is great fast shipping, large inentory, competively priced and just good people. Mustangs Plus and Mustang Depot are also great service oriented people. I buy with confidence from all three. Best tech advice seems to come from Mustangs Plus.
