made it back to the track and managed a best of 13.65@100mph, that run with a 1.9 60'

i was trapping 100-101 all day and got consistant 13.7s and etc with consistant 1.9s running stock suspension with SFCs and et streets.

i found it was hard to get a good 1.8, the higher i laucnhed it would do better but it had this sensation of spinning the tires, but i guess it wasnt.

i had some bad luck and ran over something and it put a hole in one of my ET streets, a bad leak and let all the air out, before i noticed it i was making a pass.

would have been my best pass, got a good 1.8 60' but the car started moving side to side BAD, i got it under control but past 1000ft it was BAD once again. i didnt want to let out but my body subconsciously let off about 100-150 foot before the finish line, still ran a 13.9@ 81 lol

got back to he pits and the tire was all bagged down and wouldnt hardly move a tire pressure guage when you put on on it.

all of you probably know my mods but i will list them again.
thumper e7s
typhoon intake
b-cam advanced 4 degrees
CAI
Pullies1.7 rockers
73mm maf
70 mm TB
bkk headers
catless H pipe
bullet dynomax mufflers
KC clutch
z spec t5,
alum DS
3.90 gears
and was running 26x10.5 et streets

IMO i figured it would have a little more MPH than it did
i was trapping 99 with my stock engine and less bolt ons.

o well the car runs good i am saving money for something big,
may a nice big AFR, big cam deal on my current shortblock and then maybe a stroker later.

later

i always wonder why your cars not faster.. you have MOB across the way hitting low 13s on gears, tires, and intake with exhaust.. a little bit of weight reduction. Seems like your car should be alot faster IMO.. who knows, either way those times are respectable man

Actually I think Mod has GT40 or 40P heads... but hasen't had luck with getting it running right.

Just keep at it, the times will come down. Maybe get it on a dyno and see where it wants to be driven? I shift mine extremely high and it loves it, maybe your shifting too low? Also until your in the mid 1.7 60's you have a LOT left in the launch!

Don't think MOB has any times on the Ps, though. He was definitely deep into the 13s w/ stock heads. Times look good, Foxfan, but yeah... I would expect a little more out of your combo.

yeah the launch felt strange, before i with the old stock engine it would HOOK, maybe i am just used to traction off the line but the launch felt funny. it felt like it was spinning but still got under 2.0s

should i be dumping the clutch or slipping it out a little bit?

o was launching at 4k around there. dumped the clutch and the front end came up and got up and went just had this strange feeling.

i hear of everyone all the time managing 1.8s with stock suspension and drag radials, it was hard for me, i had one once and that was revving it to the moon. i can get 1.9s easily tho

maybe it just needs more rpm

i was going to tune her in but like i said my drag radial had a hole in it. after i get it fixed i may go back this weekend and see if i can get some better times.

I saw easy mid 1.7s on a bolt on motor and ET Streets (stock suspension). 5500+ RPM, and drop the clutch like the pedal was on fire. Car spun a little but with a weaker motor (as we have) it keeps the revs up, in the power band, and pulls it through first gear without bogging (worst thing, for timeslips and parts breakage).

i definatle didnt drop it past 5k, i am going next weekend hopefully and i will rev it to the moon and see what happens.

i guess i will have to get some nice shocks and control arms to really get the car hooking good.

I wouldnt even bother yet, I know for a fact a stock suspension making your power will go easy mid 1.7s and maybe faster (mines still all stock). I'd try launching it higher, playing with tire pressure and such before spending more money!

Not bad.....I almost wonder if your gears are too steep, you must be well into the redline in 4th gear when you cross the line.
