Thanks guys, the pedal feel is a lot better then it was with the old cast iron GT brakes. Hopefully it stops better despite me still having rear drums.

The Cobra fronts arent much more brake in terms of surface area than the stock brakes, so pedal feel will only stiffen slightly, some people like that When you doin the rears?

IDK yet, I already have the prop valve plug and a Wilwood adjustable unit. I plan to order a NRC rear kit for it, but I blew a bunch of money in the last month on car stuff, so I gotta take breather. My pedal used to grab about halfway down, now it feels like it grabs in the upper quarter, so my reaction time to braking is going to tighten up at least. We'll see how they do once I get them hot.

Dried out enough I was able to go bed the pads today. The car stops a LOT better then before. Pedal feels is great, higher then before, and it stops as good as my Cobra I dare say. I can only imagine how much better it'll be once I put disks on the rear. Dunno when I'm going to get to that though as I'm itching to start something with the engine.

But those weren't stock brakes he had. They were 66mm sn95 brakes which are huge in comparison.

When you use them with drum brakes and stock mc....it tends to be soft.

Cobra calipers are pretty close to stock 60mm calipers, so his pedal feel is somewhat back to normal.

I was afraid the theory wasn't going to play out and the pedal wasn't going to feel all that great. Or I was going to have to do the rear disks too. Fortunately it worked out great.

Those are either Bullit or Mach 1 brakes, and they are 13" rotors, if you got 11.65" rear rotors those are 94+ cobra brakes.

Those are 13"s, the GT brakes are 12" in the front iirc.
