i would say the tokico because they are adjustable. i have heard the blistens are pretty stiff riding.

I have tokico illuminas on my 97. I origionally bought them for my 88, but later transfered them to the 97.
Tokico makes a good shock and is a bit more economical than the bilstein. The adjustments on the Tokico are noticible and make a difference in the handling, depending on what you want to do. I normally left it in '1' during daily driving and switched it to 5 when I was on the auto-X track. I like my tokicos quite a bit.
Now, they have 100k or more miles and I'm still running them. Of course, they are a lot softer now. On 1, they are noticibly soggy and don't control the springs very well (they were 5.0 fox struts to start with, so not too surprised), but on 5 they still work well.

actually the bilsteins are not all that rough i like them a lot. and they work good for the corners too.

You can get Koni Sport adjustables (what I have) slightly cheaper than bilsteins at Stangsuspension.com
You'll be on rails with these.
