How do you remove the ignition switch without a key to turn it?

I think I am having a brain fart.

You can't. This applies to the tumbler part of the switch. But you can remove the whole switch by unscrewing the ring nut surrounding it and unplugging it then removing it from behind. You can buy new ones from your local parts house, keys and all. Standard Ignition makes them.

I wasn't saying that you weren't skilled, no offense. All i was saying, was that it is possible. ( But very hard to do )

are you guys talking about picking the ignition lock to start it. As I remember it wasn't that difficult, I personally didn't do it but the guy I was with did.
Got in trouble when I was 16 cuz I was helping a buddy of my restore his so we went out looking for junker that people owned and just let them sit. We either stripped the cars or just drov'm off. Got caught though, buddy lifted a hub off a car and then he squilled like a pig about what we have down.
It was wrong, I paid for it. I just couldn't stand seeing the cars just sitting out in a field and rusting away.

You can use a dent puller, but it will trash it completely. It's no good anyway though without a key though, so who cares I guess.

I didnt say i could do it, they guy i was with did it, and he didnt show me how he did it. But i have seen it and it can be done. Maybe darkness can tell ya

Just watching someone do it isn't enough, you have to know what you are doing
