Well I haven't been on this forum for a while but now that it is spring time, I want to do something nice for my car being as it has been under a cover all winter. I don't have many mods and I have never been to the track, but would like to maybe do a club run at a road course later. I know I already want to go to 4.10's out back and given the current milage on the her (100,000), I dont think a supercharger or any other large power gains would be good. So what do ya'll reccomend for some one who wants to get into an occasional track ride as far as suspension and braking and mild go-faster goodies. Oh, it can't be too harsh of a ride because of the girlfriend, she already hates riding in the jeep due to lift and tires. Thank you.

i would get the 4.10's a off road mid pipe if you can put up with changing pipes when you need a sticker. and a tuner. the SCT or the predator will work fine.

when you say track do you mean the 1320 or a circuit, as it will be a different setup for either.

A great upgrade for either would be tyres, DR for the 1/4 mile and semi slicks for the circuit.

well if you want good handling you will have to do some thing to control that live axel, such as a Panhard Rod or even better a Watts linkage, these are the only ways to control lateral movement and proper control of a live axel, the Panhard has limitations so if your prepared to spend some money spend it on a Watts linkage.

When I find and get a Mustang the 1st mod I will be doing is this: http://www.evolutionmsport.com/evmCart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=4&products_id=14&zenid=5640341f26db01a3b36b4a8a322fbcce

but you'll also need some shocks and springs too.

Subframe and LCA's should be first, then gears and a PH bar or watts.

for suspension. if you want better handling drop the car about a inch i have driven mustangs that were droped and they do handle better. BUT do not go much more than a inch you can loose off the line traction for drag racing.

All right, now should I get adjustable shocks? Is there really much value in them? What I am saying is I am a set it and forget it kinda guy and I don't want to spend the extra money on the shocks unless it will make a large difference in the handling capability of my vehicle.

Adjustables will be a waste unless you paln on tweaking them constantly at every different track you hit.
