Well as I said in other posts I did weld in 44's,window tint...so much better. The my blk letters came in then just as I got done putting those on my vinyl for the rear arrived.I finally got the vinyl on and I like the looks more than the honeycomb panel...has the painted look. The vinyl was not the pre-cut kit you buy,I ordered this stuff off of ebay, its the same that stripes and stuff is made of,has something like 7-10yrs durability.Got a roll of 24"x10' Matte blk for $10+$8 shipping. So I had to do all the cutting and everything, figured what the hell ill try it...didnt cost alot.It came out pretty good..still needs a bit of trimming in the areas of where the trunk lid opens but im gonna wait till light.Sorry for the crappy pics, camera finally went out..these are cell pics.

Just finished the letters...

I replaced the plate frame with a metal Black chrome frame to add some variation of color to the rear...but the crappy cell isnt showing it well

With the emblems put back on....

Wow, that does look really good. I think almost like it better than the Honeycomb.

I also really need bumper inserts.

got those off ebay too for $4 shipped, and was a perfect fit,I just relized how much shopping I did this week from ebay....

My buddy has the honeycomb on a white 2001 stang, and one of my problems with it is that around the edges I can still see the paint showing through...looked kinda tacky to me,but also could have been who installed it too...,that and I really have never liked all the honeycomb crap that the gt's had.Stangmods.com has the rear vinyl kit that you can buy for around $50, but I thought why when I could just order the vinyl cheaper then cut it the way I need.If this stuff I got ends up not working out over time, then Ill just get it painted, got a quote for $125.I figured the matte blk vinyl would match my stripes better. Also installed my vinyl in a 5 piece section...the way stangmods.com says theirs installs, worked really well.

Also wondered if it would be a nono to paint the mach calipers, they look pretty nasty right now, they have a grey look that looks as if black paint or something is coming off,I tried cleaning them but didnt see any diff. Its really buggin me,

Sure, you can paint them. It makes them look good. Not sure what paint to use though.

Looks great. Really like the vinyl treatment. I'm not much on bumper inserts, but they look good with the other black work on the car. IMO, do not go with louvers. Hate those things unless they are on the back of a 69/70 mach.
