Got car back and at the track

Well everything on my car is fixed from my recent accident and picked it up last night and it turned out great. So toady was the last test and tune at the local strip so i headed up to see what it would do on the 17 inch hoosier DR's. It took two passes to get used to hooking and launching but got it down. I went a new best of 12.73 at 108mph. My 60ft was a 1.8 so there is some room for inprovement there but ran really strong for a stock head and cam car.

Yes i run at cecil. It was the last day for the year and there was a good turn out today. Do you run at Cecil too?

No never ran at atco. next year im planning on going to a couple different tracks and atco is on the list with mir and capital. I also found out that my car has stock(3.27) gears in the rear, not 4.10s like the guy who sold me the car said. When i had my car tuned my tuner tuned my car tuned it for 4.10s and my speedo was 10 to 15 mph off. I got home and put 3.27s and took it for a ride and everything was right again.

How does it drive with the locked rear end? I was considering doing it to mine.

I bought it from the guy and he said it has a detriot locker in it. And if it has what he says is in it i would say it works great. Before the motor swap i drove it every day now i try to drive it as little as possible because of the price of 93 and winter being here. I would say go for it.

Good times! I was gong to head down to cecil to finally run my car but just ran out of time. Guess I will wait till 1st thing in the spring...been trying to go to the track the past 2 moinths and just got to busy!

Thanks over the winter i have to get gears, new clutch and some 15 inch slicks. Hopefully i can squeeze more out of this combo before i do anymore motor work.

No, I wish I did. I'm usually stuck at Capital since it is only 20 min down the street from me. I do plan on gettin up to Cecil next year though.

Yea cecil is 20 minutes from me thats why i go there but capital is like 45 or 50 from me but after work on friday trying to go 95 is terrible.

Wednesday test and tunes get busy in the summer months, and saturday test and tunes good and you get alot of runs in but costs 35 on saturday compared to 15 on wednesday.

how is the tech there because atco tech is not bad they check 4 helmet and belts etc..

stock 3.27s were and still are in the car i will have 4.10s or 4.30s by next season
