Got my 85 GT...

Thanks for all the good words...Im really happy with this car...really excited about it. The body is virtually rust free aside the windshield A pillars have some slight surface rust forming and the bottom of the drivers door has some surface starting...but it is all fixable without alot of cash. I dont belive it has ever been wrecked either...odo says 43k..but has a 140 speedo in it....seems like an old unit though the white lines on the speedo face are cracked a little if you look up close. Im guessing it has 143k miles. The underbody is so clean you can eat off it, even the body pinch is straight and undamaged along with the frame rails and torqueboxes.

Yes someone did change the rear quarter glass to 87-93 style and it has 87-93 lx tails for now...the previous owner is mailing me the original style tails that came on the car and the two missing 10 hole centercaps...

1985's came with a 7.5 rear from the factory..it was the last year they used the 7.5 rear with a 5.0 mustang.

Im just glad i found a clean stang to start with I have been looking for a while on and off, then i got my 91 which is now going to be parted put due to rust...When i bought that car i figured it was repairable...but also considering i bought it for $1200 in running condition black/black with a mint black interior i figured either way i will make out with it cause i can make money on the interior if i wanted to sell it or just have a mint black interior for the next car i found...but i got a 85 and i like this style more in every way that 87-93. nothing at all against 87-93 i love them but i like the more 80's look i guess lol.

Heres the 91 that is going to be parted out...I will post up on here what will be for sale soon once i figure it all out, alot of stuff is goin into my buddies notch he is building.




It also has rot on the A pillar which caused my windshield to crack, all the wheel wells have thick surface rust, and the whole entire underside of the car is covered in thick rust and has a few small holes in the floor. Sad, its just too much to fix on this car, it also has 190k miles too and has never been wrecked.
