Prochamber with Flowmaster Super 40's.... im not really liking it. The tone is great but it's REALLY REALLY quiet, i swear at normal cruising speeds I can't tell a difference from the stock H. At a take-off, revving or if you really get on it (especially if your driving by a wall) then its audible but even then it's pretty quiet. The tone is definately perfect though, but as far as volume this thing is a joke. Felt no power increase either. I'll probably leave it on for a while, maybe get another pipe later... maybe a UPR X which is what i was considering? Never heard an H in person. And now im actually wondering if the X-pipe is all that raspy like people say? B/C I was told by several that the PC was also somewhat raspy and made a lot of whoosing noises etc.... I don't hear anything, at really low RPM's it sounds pretty throaty but thats it.

You should weld in some MagnaPack mufflers... I'm pretty sure that's the sound you're looking for. Throaty down low... and Screaming at WOT.

Every car I heard with the Prochamber and Flows sounded SWEET. I don't want a loud car all the time, got pulled over in my '91 to much for that. I get mine put on next week...I'll post some vids of it.

I dunno, it must be a personal thing. Mine is pretty loud. Have someone start and do a hard take off while you stand outside - preferably someone you know and trust. Sitting in the car, to me, it doesn't sound too bad, but standing in the driveway when my wife pulls out, it just sounds hella loud.

dont worry supstang you'll prolly like it, most people do. Ive been thinking of Magnapacks too.. but just switching to a regular o/r pipe might be cheaper. I don't want insanely loud either but definately louder at lower RPM's. With gas prices as high as they are I can't afford to be doing constant hard launches and keeping it at constant high RPM's just so I can hear my exhaust. I drove a stang with an X once for like two blocks, all i can say is WOW... it was LOUD, it was only two blocks though so hard to base an opinion on that.

Something must be wrong dude....Mine is pretty loud.

Friends can here me coming down the street when they are INSIDE the house, and I'm not going that fast.

Maybe it's your SUPER Flows....I have Original flows.

Mine was a huge difference over stock and with just the flows.

...I can take it. I think.

I put one on my 96 today and was thinking the same thing. I have the stock cat-back and with the o/r h it was deep and had a nice tone at cruise with a good deep rumble at idle. Now the Prochamber is a tad more high pitched but not too bad at idle. At cruise I can't tell the difference between the PC or the old stock catted H. I think I like the O/R H better with stock cat-back but I'll swap muffs in the near future to see if it makes a difference.

Yea my friend said he could hear me from inside the house but I was really stepping on it too since I had just gotten them. I still can't tell a difference at normal crusing speeds though, way too quiet inside the cabin for me.

stangdriver,

i think your car sounds awesome too. almost exactly like mine. about the same loudness too; i have three chambers, but with an o/r h pipe, so it is just about the same loudness.

prochambers are quieter than h's, but still louder than stock and they sound good too.

I put the prochamber on first and that made it a little louder but after the cat back it was louder than sin.
