Got One !!!

4.10s are not a lot of gear; although you may want to re-think 4.10s with a Roush or a T/S s/c. 4.10s work better with a centri s/c. Now I am not saying that you shouldn't run 4.10s and a roush, but be prepared for making fast shifts and if you are doing a little "spirited" driving, you will experience wheel spin when you 1st start off. Drag radials will help eliminate this problem.

Rocket3005 - congrats on the purchase. You can't go wrong with getting 20's, they look great. I'd recommend a 2.5" cowl from cervinis - the 4" may be to tall for a street driven car. As recommended above, I'd also start with a Cold Air Intake and tune...then keep modding from there.

Enjoy!

i agree with the 2.5 cowl over 4. 4 is too much. it just looks goofy.

4.10s are a great gear, what i have in mine now. was thinking of doing 4.56s and 28 inch tires, but just throwing a whipple on her.

are you auto or manual? if manual get a MGW shifter. the hurst is a nice looking piece, and thats what attracts most people, but its notchy feeling, and you really gotta be forceful to get it into gear.

also k member brace with tq limiters is a great buy from che. for the price you can't beat this solid piece.

i'd recommend an adjustable panhard bar, lower control arms, anti squat brackets, and an adjustable upper control arm, with new mount. in my opinion the rear suspension is the one let down with these cars.

as for exhaust, i dont know how involved you wanna get, but the set up i'm planning on is kooks long tubes, offroad x pipe with cutouts right at the collector on the headers, with magnapacks for a muffler.

what finish foose did you buy? and what color car? can't wait to see them mounted up.

I am new to the 4.6 3V cars. I just sold an 8sec Street Legal 5.0 and I have an 87 Pro-Street 5.0. I also have a 2000 Cobra R but it is all stock (600 miles)
My 06 is Dark Grey and it is a 5 speed. I got the chrome Legends. I am going to do a shifter and I don't think you can top the sounds of Flowmasters on a Mustang, The car I just sold had Dual 4" Single Chambers (I will Miss that Sound) I work at a performance shop so parts are pretty easy to come by. Thanks for your feedback and sugestions

the flowmasters are a pretty good sounding muffler, on a otherwise stock exhaust system. i really haven't heard any kind of long tube combination with flowmasters that i liked, it always turns into a bee in a tin can sound.
these cars IMO have a unique exhaust note, and certain combinations that worked well with previous generations don't sound quite as good with this motor.
