Got The Job!!!!! Woooooo

Hey Mike, good job on getting the jobs, is the AutoZone on Bloomfield Ave. in Clifton because if it is, my job is right on the highway in front of it. Well, I just looked at your car, since the architecture place is located in my town. Car looks good; as of this upcoming November, minimum wage will hit $6.25/hr and the following year it will hit $7.25/hr, and as for right now, in NJ, minimum wage is $5.75/hr, maybe you should've just got a FULL-TIME job at Autozone. Later, Jeff.

Cool, just remember it could be a lot more work than you think. Maybe not so bad if he's a free-lance architect, but with larger firms, you are expected to perform (i.e. fast drawings and fewer returned redlines). But then again I only see it from the standpoint of being the engineer to tell the drafters and architects that the drawings are wrong.

hahaha yea the engineer for our firm is a really busy guy, so he has his assistant (IM NOT KIDDING ON THIS NAME!!) Golam Hossian (pronounced like sadam) send us all the pdf and autocad drawings, but hes a bit slow so that buys us some time (and by some i mean a lot!) so far in 2 days i knocked off an LOD building plan of the Coldwater Creek store in Chester,NJ and 3 views of elevations for the store......he said i was starting off well so im happy...... :D

A really good drafter can make alot of money too. Make it a point to pay attention to structural drawings and learn what you can. You can make yourself worth alot more than $5.
yea i know but im only 17 so they take me for what i'm "worth" i guess....idk wut the other people in the office are making, but its awkward for me to ask cause they are family members of the boss........

I came to look at your car an hour or two after I had talked to you, probaly around 1:30-2, I was out there for about 20 minutes, never knew that place had a lot, I went right passed it the first time looking for it on the street, then eventually saw the lot. Where did I get the number from.... its big and yellow and has a lot of pages in it, its called a PHONE BOOK, you told me it was located on Ridge Rd. and Lake Ave. so I looked under Architects and there was only one place on Ridge Rd. and the address was 63 Ridge RD., so I knew exactly where that area was. Your dad's chevelle looked awesome at Whiskey Cafe Saturday. I'll talk to you soon, when do you start working at Auto Zone?
