Fuel problems?

Does it turn over?

Does it try to fire?

Do you get spark through the plug? Hold the plug against the block with something non-conductive and crank it, see if you get spark.

Do you have an electric fuel pump?

Fuel lines hooked up?

start from scratch.

pull #1 plug, stick your finger in the hole, and have someone tap the key til it blows your finger out.

then slowly turn the engine by hand until the timing mark is on "0" TDC

pull the cap and see where your rotor is facing.

yep... what worth says.

Do that and make sure its pointing toward the #1 wire. Turn it counter clockwise just a bit to advance the timing. Tighten it down try starting it up. You are using the new 302 firing order correct??

yeah thast what we thought to that it was outa time. so i pulled the cap and did the whole top dead center thing.. but it was getting late so i just tried it once and decided to call it a a night.. i am going to look at it monday at the shop when im at work. just wanted to see if any other thing besides the timeing would cause that
