Well I got to have some fun last night since it's been freakishly warm here. Two of my buddies and i went for a cruise. One has a Silver 03 GT like Grahams 04 and the other has a 98 Turbo AWD Talon. The Gt has a 9# Kenne Bell intercooled kit, a Flow Master catback, and an Eibach prokit that's it. The Talon is fully done, upgraded big turbo, meth injection, full exhaust, full suspension, and he has cams waiting to be put in. We did a few runs (on a closed course of course
) At first i started out in the GT. Needless to say first and second gear are an absolute waste of time. The Talon blew out of the hole hard because of the all wheel drive, he had about 5 car lengths on us right away. Unfortunately for him the KB GT grabbed good in third and we blew by him like he was standing still. It felt like I got kicked in the tailbone when the GT hooked. I don't think I've ever experience something like that before. Any supercharged stang is no joke! When we passed the talon we were doing around 210 and it was like he was riding his bike. I asked him how fast he topped out at when we were passing him and he said he was doing about 165. I then jumped in the Talon. That thing is insane off the line! That all wheel drive is amazing. It throws you back really really hard in first and second but doesn't pull as hard as you get going fast. The GT blew by us like nothing once he hooked. It would be amazing to see that thing when it actually hooks. The GT's best time is a 12.7@116mph with a brutal 60ft of 2.04 on stock street tires. The Talon runs a best of 13.4 at 101mph before the meth injection and exhaust with a 60ft of 1.6. When i was in the Talon the GT took off from a stop and spun the tires for about a 200meters. He could have kept it going but didn't want to waste his tires. We were behind him and to the side and all i could see was smoke coming from the tires. It was insane. I can't wait to get mine installed. With cams a big bore stroker and and full bolt on's I should be able to do some serious damage to tires
. My heap is still parked waiting for the tear down so it's nice to be able to go cruising still. All in all a fun night. I was going to bring the video camera but didn't. Now i wish i did!

Actually I was sitting in it the other day, this nice weather just gets me wishing for spring. I guess it won't be too long now before you have your very own KB'd Stang
