picked up the habit of cutting firewood this winter and selling it at the local auction house. me and a bud are just cutting up random trees to sell mixed loads. if anyone cuts and sells whats a good asking price for a fullsize truckload/chord?the auction up here usually gets about $35 per chord. would it be better to sell outright privatly or just drop it off at the auction?

right now were just cutting up 10" diameter and smaller trees. bigger ones will have to wait for a real splitter. we got a slide hammer type deal but it wears you out after bout 10 minutes lol. plus im out of shape so that dont help none:rlaugh:

i used to sell truck-loads (ranger 7ft. bed) for $50, and i just had to split it and drop it off (no stacking).... but i've heard the DHHR, aka wellfare, will pay up to $100 per load.

its decent money, just dont go sellin' peolpe pine without telling them the risks of burning it.

no pine here. mainly all hedge and a little of red elm. got to figuring up stuff today and checkin around. i guess a Face Cord is what the auction is selling not an actual whole cord. i guess by what i read was that 2 fullsize truck loads are equal to 1 full cord:shrug:

talked to a few people today around here were gettin 75 bucks for a face cord. and almost 225 for a full. guess i should take that route instead of trying to lowball myself:rlaugh:
