Nate had pretty good luck with his low-buck special, just light weight and some suspension tuning, then like a 100 shot I think. He was down in the low 12s if I remember right.
Jeff went like 11.2 in his with the little motor and a shot, just real light weight, and good suspension set-up.
Those are real simple combos, just light weight and some tuning, then like a 100 or 150.
Either one of them could have really stepped it up with a 393 and the spray....
I saw someone above mention a turbo motor.... the sky is the limit there. I mean look at Eric, he ran what, like low 9s last year and will probably be in the 8s this year.
If its a dedicated track car, you have some real advantages, cuz you can pull out extra stuff that street guys cant (usually). Smog pumps, cats, spare/jack, stereo, window mechanism, quad shocks, heater, rear bumper bracing, etc... Plus you can optomise the gear ratio and tire size for exactly 1320, that alone is worth a couple tenths.
