I have a 65 coupe that I'm in the process of putting a 79 302 in. It had a 6 cylinder so that rad had to go but which aftermarket one do I need?? I would like to know have to spend more than 200ish if possible.

not quite getting that last sentence but if I understand you correctly, you want to spend in the neighborhood of $200.

you can get some very fine alum radiators from Summit Racing for under $200 ($179 to be specific). You can also get an OEM 2 core radiator from Mustangdepot.com for $179.

Whats the benifit of aluminum over oem? Yeah, 200ish is what I would like to spend.

I believe Afco Racing also carries early model aluminum radiators. Price is ~$180 and competetive with Summit.

I purchased a 3 core from a fella on E-bay. (aluminum) for 200 ish. The brand was Northern. Very nice so far.

Alum is somewhat lighter, doesnt corrode like copper/brass, and alum radiators can be thinner and cool as well, which is a lifesaver in certain swaps/combos where clutch fan-to-radiator clearance is an issue. And, some people think they look better than the stockers.
