I've read a lot of threads that have people asking about good places to purchase stuff from and some that have had people complaining about the customer service support (or lack of). Well here's my sad story with a happy ending...

I recently decided to get new wheels, tires and lowering springs. After looking at what seemed to be a thousand sites and finding some places that had cheaper prices on the individual parts but no where that had them both for purchase as a wheel/tire package.
I looked at Summit Racing and they had it all except for a slightly higher price on the tires and springs. But they price match. So I was able to get exactly what I wanted for the price I wanted (actually even better because of the free shipping).
So I ordered. Well it turns out I was given some bad info (on back spacing from other places) so I ordered rims that had the wrong back spacing. I contacted summit racing about this and they agreed. So they say they will take them back and exchange them but they will have to add a restocking fee.
I figure well it's my fault for not having the right info and ordering the wrong thing so I'll pay the fee to get what's right and I'll chalk it up as a lesson learned.
(By the way the price on the wheels was the cheapest I could find and the tire and spring prices where price matched from other places.)

Well after talking to them not only did they help me out with shipping the wheel and tire set back they send me an email making an even better offer here it is:

"We would like to offer you a deal on the tires and rims. Normally when we take mounted tires and rims back they are docked 20%. The rims on this order were $XXX.XX. 20% off would be $XX.XX time four (4) rims would be $XXX.XX on just the rims alone.

We would like to make this offer: You dismount the tires from the rims locally, send us the rims only back, we give you full credit for the rims applied toward the new rims you want as replacements, we send you the new rims and you have the tires mounted locally. Even if you pay $10.00 to dismount and $10.00 to mount you would still save more than $95.00. And you can still use the return labels that we have sent you.

Please let us know if you are willing to accept the offer.

Thank you.

Well the new rims should be here on Thursday and with the dismounting and remounting charges looks like my blunder will only be setting me back about $75- $80.
So next time your thinking about getting that new mod check out Summit Racing these guys are top notch.

Oh and just for the record the only tie I have to Summit is I was born in Ohio about an hour from where the main store for them is.

I'll have to check them out since I'm in the market for wheels, tires, and springs myself. Thanks!

All of the new mods I've bought for my car have come from Summit and I will forever buy from them. They're tech department answers my questions every time and not once have I dealt with anyone who wouldn't help me. I have even come across a person or two who didn't know the answers to my questions, but they found someone who did. Quick shipping, awesome prices, and the selection is unbeatable! Summit all the way!

Nice to hear something positive.

Summit is awesome. In the past I have ordered items for my 03 GT and my buddy's 99 'Bra from them. I concur, exceptional service.

I have ordered from Summit many times and had excellent service except once; I inquired about heads, cam etc for my 5.0 in April and after going through order they were out of stock. I told the guy that I didn't want to wait and to cancel the order; well, three weeks later I get a card in the mail telling me my stuff is backordered and my credit card was already charged! PIA to get it straight, but after all of that based on my previous good transactions I would order again.
