i was wanting to know who much trouble it is to instal one of the 93 cobra inserts into an 88. i think that insert looks cool and ive looked for articals but i cant find one.

They're easy to put in, but kinda expensive. I had one for awhile, really liked it til it got broken when I hit a deer.

How exactly does it mount? I assume you have to cut the bumper cover, right?

Yeah, you just cut out the center of the LX grille. The grille comes with a template that shows you exactly where you have to cut. Then the grille itself is held in with two sided tape and two small sheetmetal screws in the top.

Check out 5.0 resto, they carry them..89$$..gonna get one myself. I think the link is 50resto.com. they have just about everything

Does anyone have any close up pics of the insert after the install?? I'm interested in how it looks where it meets the bumper.

I don't have any real close up pics, but I do have a picture of mine from the front after I got it installed. I check it when I get home to see if it shows an detail and post it up if it does.

BTW I got mine from Design Concepts. It was quite nicely made.
