Ground effects Removal

Was wondering what is best way to take off my ground effects. I have Xenon's that were installed on my LX when I bought it. I don't know who put them on but the used some sort of black epoxy every 10 inches or so. Is there a special knife to cut this stuff with or a better way to go. I want to save the pieces to be reused after I do some body work the the fenders and undercarriage. Suggestions.

:nonono: Oh hell, they glued it on? Thats what happens when ricers get ahold of a mustang. They brutalize it.

You could try some chemicals that remove sticky stuff, such as goof off, but I doubt that will do it. If you have a heat gun try seeing if that will soften the crap, if it does then get it hot and it should come off. A soft scraper should be a valuable tool. If you have to, butcher the kit to get if off. That way it's off the car and it can't be used again to deface another mustang.

Without seeing exactly how it's attached (the epoxy used), it'd be hard to say, but you might be able to use a heat gun, and some sort of knife like you suggested to break the bond.
