i was doing a dry run of installing my intake elbow throttle body and mass air meter. by dry run i mean i was putting it together off the car to see how everything fit. unfortunately the throttle body is rubbing against the elbow. here are some pics i took on my camera phone. i am probably doing something ass backwards.

is this common with PP elbows. i also got with the elbow what looks to be plugs of some sort and a bolt. i have no i dea where they go

Might be a common problem with the PP elbow.
Mine was very close.
I first plugged in the connector and then tightened down the throttle body to the elbow.
Since then I have been able to unplug and plug that the connector with no problems.
Probably the best thing to do is to grind it down to avoid damaging the connector.

Everything is very tight fitting in and around the elbow area :(

You just have to mock it all up for a trial fit as you did :nice:

Then ... modify as needed ;)

Good Old Fashion Hot Rodding at its Best :D

Only one after market part will fit pretty good :)
however
All the after market parts might not fit all that well with each other :(

When that happens ...
You gotta get a bit creative with your thinking
and then
You gotta do what you gotta do to make that plan come together

Ran into the same problem with my TrickFlow elbow. I trimmed the back side of my TPS connection housing. I have another one just sitting there, so I figured I would see how well the connection held. It was fine.
