Im putting a GT-40 intake on my car and the tube from the header to the egr now seems to be too long. Do I need to get an intake spacer to make this fit or can you buy a shorter egr tube? Can the existing tube be modifide?

Thanks!

might want to check the align. of the tube. Mine was a PITA to get re-align.

I have always seen them too short not too long.

We fabricated mine. We bent the sh!@ out ot the original and the replacement was too long. Cut it, tig'd, grind'd it, works fine now.....

it is probably just not aligned right as stated before, when I did mine it was such a pain in the ass, I had to heat it up with a propane torch till it was red hot and bend it.

if u really need to u can cut the tube and use some of that high temp hose from the parts store to connect the 2 ends, doesn't look the prettiest but it will work.

u can also cut the tube apart, use to 2 fitting on the ends and buy some soft copper 5/8" tubing and bend it to fit and then flare the ends, basically making a new egr tube. i decided to just do the 93 style throttle body conversion, so ill be running internal egr. much easier than external if you ask me, although it will probably generate a little more heat.
