I might buy some GT40P heads but I've heard that it's hard to find headers that will work.I have a set of tri-y's, does any one know if these will work? Thanks

Make your life easy and use a different set of heads.

I think the non-p GT-40 heads are better( Better HP & torque averagaged), but if P's are what you have/want. Cast iron Hi-Po manifolds work fine with the P's

I know a guy that used Hooker 6901s with them... However he says it's a pain in the buttocks.
He used a set of extra header flanges and gaskets stacked under the headers to space them away from the heads a little, then he used shorty spark plugs for a touch more clearance. For plug wires he used 90* plug ends and had to wrap them with insulation to protect them from the header tubes.
Normal heads have the plugs close to the tubes, but the P heads have the plugs right under the tubes where all the standard styles turn down. So there is a big interference between primary tubes and plugs.

351w (69-73) are better anyway once ported... I wouldn't bother with Ps.

Engine Suggestions on an engine rebuild. Stock cam/GT40Ps or aftermarket on both for a fun weekend driver?
