Hey all, been wanting to replace the rather boring stock spoiler on my 93 LX for awhile now. Been looking at the aftermarket stuff... ehh, not diggin the whaletail. I really like the stock GT piece. Now, my question is, will the GT wing mount to the LX hatch? Unless memory fails me, I thought the GT hatch was shaped a little different from the LX's. I'm fine with replacing the whole hatch, but if I don't need to, then great.

Remember the GT wing will sit off the hatch so the hatch probably will need to be painted, or just be a different shade of color and look GHETTO'ISH.
I have one ******* if you want one. ***** It's black and needs to be painted. Iput a Cobra wing on mine.
On another note I had a GT spoiler installed on my 86GT when I had it painted and it looked a lot better than stock A LOT!!! Dont know about how many holes to fill because the body shop did mine when they painted it.

Let's not post sale items within the Tech/Talk Forums. Thanks :nice:

Thanks guys, appreciate it. My hatch is pristine, so I'll probably store it, and buy one from a GT. That's the problem with doing body mods to this car. Original paint is still shiny, and body is clean. I know, wah. But I don't wanna screw it up. :nonono:

You found that in a warehouse? :nice: Sweet car, good find man.

Thanks man. Yea, this car belonged to an old guy that died years ago. Another old guy found it and settled with the estate on purchasing the car. He had it for 2 weeks, got the title, washed it then put it back for sale to make some $$$$$$, well I was the 1st lucky person to find it, and bought it. Drove to Fla to see and buy it. Wish yall coulda seen my face when I saw the original Goodyear tires on it. Then you know what the next thing was to do,,, check for the air silencer. It was there:hail2: :D . Plug wires were and still are dated to 93. The dern radio was even stock w/a tape player, and it worked:rlaugh: . My wife said I was like a little kid, the guy had no idea what he was giving up.
Anyway sorry, let me know if ya want the spoiler.:nice:

Incredible. Well worth the trip! It's like every gearheads fairytale carfind! Congrats man. I don't really want to drill the original hatch, But unless I find a clean GT hatch soon, I'll prolly take you up on that spoiler. I'll keep you posted. :SNSign:
