Hey everyone,

I'm new to the forum scene. I have a 2003 Mustang GT. Cold Air, H-Pipe, and Magnaflow Mag packs on my car. The next purchase I was thinking about making was a Single Turbo for my car. My friend assures me that he can perform all of the labor.

First I was wondering if there where any differences between the twin and single turbo kits beside the ability for the twin to make more power.

Second my friend assures me that he can find a turbo for me, but I cant find anyone online that has a Tubo GT. Everyone has Twins.

Third any estimates of what kind of numbers I should be putting down.

Finally With the price of the turbo and the parts needed, and his labor. My friend is estimating that the whole thing should be around $2500 or $3000 to complete. Is it worth it? or are other mods more beneficial for the money?

 :nice: :hail2:

I have looked into turbo kits and for one thing it is going to cost you alot more than 3 grand. Some companies to look into are hp performance and hellion. You'll be able to find alot more info about turbo kits at there web sites.

A good twin turbo kit will cost $10,000 and will not include the suspension upgrades you will need to put the power to the ground.

And friends care a lot about your car, until they get bored or find a woman to distract them of course...

I would never EVER consider letting the fate of my Mustang and the success of my turbo install depend on anyone but myself or a mechanic I am paying real money to. (or perhaps my dad...)

I'll be buying my turbo kit from one of those guys when I get out of school:nice:
I would not trust a friend to work on my car. Does he work at a performance shop or anything?

JUST the parts for the turbo system itself could be done for around 3500...using the stock manifolds. But then the problem comes when you start getting into MAF, Fuel pump, Injectors, gauges, clutch, ect. You will spend around 5000 after its tuned and all the misc parts....and thats if you get quality parts and no labor.

if you can swing it, go for it!

Also, a single turbo will make the exhaust sound....errr not that great. Twins allow that mustang sound to stay :D

How's a kit capable of 780FWHP (660rwhp)for around $5500 sound? I think we can get close to that.

Then you can upgrade to another turbo and make more if need be for $1800-$2000.

The $5500 is cheaper than any other single kit out there. The $7500 will be way cheaper than ANY twin 67mm kit.Hell, its about the same as everyone elses 57mm kit.
