GT Turbo Thunderbird??

Is there such a thing? I found a gray thunderbird, don't know the year but it has some sort of factory looking ground effects that say turbo gt in red on the side skirts, they are inset, like the gt mustangs. There was a page somewhere that had a listing of all the turbo fords and what years they were made in. Anyone have it? Is this car rare? I can't find it on KBB.com

I dont think that a gt turbo tbird was made. The car your looking at is probably a thunderbird turbocoupe

What body style is the thunderbird, does it have aero headlamps or the old sealed beam lights?

More than likely, it's got a FMS body kit on it, but I've never heard of them saying "Turbo GT" on the skirts...

when i passed it, i saw the lettering on the side. My buddy who was with me swears up and down that it said turbo GT. I'm going by it again today, i'll find out for sure. I might buy it

Not to nit pick, may have just been a typo, but they did indeed make turbo gt mustangs in 83/84, and they were labeled as such. Only like 600 in 83 and like 3500 in 84. Note the decal in the picture.

The car says turbo coupe on the side moldings, but says t-bird gst on the skirts. I'm guessing its a custom job, the lady said a car dealer owned it and was showing it a long time ago. She wouldn't give me a price, she said she had to ask her husband. I'm going back in a few days to see what she says, the car is in pretty good shape btw.

LOL, look at the **** I started now!! LOL.

We were talking about the imprint in the sideskirts. I very well know they made mustang GT Turbo's (my motor and tranny came from one!). If you look at my originall statement again you will see what I meant, I couldnt word it right though.thinking one thing typing another.

Basically they never made skirts that said TURBO GT in them!!
