This week I got ahold of a GT wing for free. My car is a 92 LX hatchback. Would it look ok to have a GT wing on an LX? Need your opinions...also if anyone has any pics of this please feel free to post. Thanks.

I converted my GT to a LX, but I left the GT wing.

i like the gt wing. i put a saleen type on my 92 gt, and took it off the next day. it looks ok on cars w/ big wheels and cowl hood, but looked out of place. I kinda like the stock gt wing, and it looks ok on 90mustanggt's lx

I think it looks great.
One problem, you will have LOTS of holes to weld up if you take an LX spoiler off and replace it with a GT. 12 mounting points on an LX spoiler, many less on a GT. I put a 93 Cobra spoiler on my LX. What a chore! Only 2 original LX holes lined up with the Cobra unit. But the results were worth it. Maybe the GT spoiler will use more of the same holes, but you still have a bunch of holes in the middle of the hatch. You also have the HMSL wiring to relocate. :)

I am in favor with Gearbanger, so lets make this official, it is called a deck spoiler, not a wing.

My car is nowhere finished. I will probally get a deck spoiler such as the one from Rick 91GT. I just can't get used to the look of a fox without something in the rear, without it the car just dives down and screams "ground zero of the smog erra". It's not even mullet, it's pre-mullet. Probally the guy who invented the mullet was looking at the back of a mustang without a spoiler and got a horrid idea "bizz in the front, party in the back!!!"

Yes, I think they look much better with the spoilers.

I just put a 79-82 style spoiler on my 82. Trying to layout the holes and make them match was a pain. It took 8 holes, and I ended up making most of them nearly a half inch diameter to get the spoiler to line up properly.
