ok, there's been this GT350H Coupe (White w/ gold stripes) for sale for the longest time a short distance from me. I've looked up some info on them and learned there were only 1000 of them in '66. Do you guys think it'd be worth seriously checking out? The body looks good, but I've only driven by cause I thought it'd go real quick. Anymore info on these cars would be appreciated and might help my decision to inquire about it.

Any Mustang at a good price is worth looking at. Now regarding this "GT350H" designation, be careful. The GT350H cars were Shelby GT350 fastbacks, sold to Hertz rent-a-car for their special "sports car" rental program, and they were painted the Hertz colors with black bodies and gold striping. If the car you're looking at is a coupe, then it is not a legit GT350H, and probably just has the striping.

Hope this helps...

Some of the later GT-350H's were indeed painted available Shelby Colors! Colors available included White, Red, Blue, & Green.

Check for the external Shelby items, including scoops, rear quarter window, and underride traction Bars. If you can get inside, look for the Tach and competition seat belts. If you can get under the hood look for the unique VIN plate. I'm a SAAC rep, and do have the registry. If you can get me the VIN #, I can check the car out for you. If it's real, snag it PRONTO!!!!!
