gt40 upper?

will a gt40 upper bolt on a stock lower? Have a local gt40 upper with t/b for sale at a great price. just wanna make sure it will work before puling the trigger to buy it. the stock upper on our project '89 looks horrid, would rather replace than refinish it.

no a GT-40 upper will not bolt to a stock lower, the ports are different

No it will not. Gt-40 family intake all have staggered ports while the stock intakes are in-line. They are NOT interchangeable.

ports on the GT-40 intake are also oval, stock are rectangular. Right?

Actually no. The ports on the gt-40 family intakes are all round (at least at the Upper /lower interface) The ports on the stock manifold are oval.

Won't the upper fit on an Explorer lower or no? I am not sure at all.

Actually JDC does the porting for Ron............should have those initials stamped in it.

yeah

cobra, gt40 and explorer intakes are the same ports and all will interchange with one another.
