OMG! Right after the SB42 win which almost gave me a heart attack, I said to myself that I'll never live long enough to see a better game. 4 years later, the Giants actually topped it. What a great great game for all NFL fans. I know losing a Superbowl sucks (Ravens vs. Giants 2000) but the Pats, especially 16 for 16 Tom Brady played great. Several times during the game I thought the Giants may not be able to make that come back this time. Too bad we may have seen the last of Mario Manningham. Free agent and the Gmen need to pay Nicks next year and Cruz the year after.

Congrads to all NFL fans. Superbowl 46 will be remembered for a long time.

what a game lol that was a great SB......with that said brady and his receivers choked at crunch time and the giants kept playing like they have the entire playoffs...for the first time ever eli amazed me with his accuracy and composure....good win for you giants fans i can't wait till next season.

Lots of mistakes made that game, giants made their fair share but they were not as devastating as the patriots mistakes were. I talked about the game all day at work so I'm not going into great detail. The giants played great when they needed to that's all that matters. They have the Patriots number at least for the time being. Patriots need to make some improvements in some areas hopefully that is addressed in the off season. So good bye to the patriots avatar until next September.

Gotta give props to Belichick too for coming up with an excellent defensive plan limiting the long ball/shoot out.

Venom: Ahhh, the price the poor Superbowl teams have to pay for getting to the big game. Now we have to draft at slots 31 & 32. :(

a lot has been said about this game and a lot has been said about what the patriots needed or lacked as far as skill positions....pass rushers...secondary...exc exc... but when it comes down to it is that what was really needed in this game? No...what we really needed was for brady to have thrown a better ball or welker to make the catch depending on what way you look at it. That is what we really needed, something that belichick has always told them to do....DO YOUR JOB. And that's all. That defense at the start of the year was given no chance to see a super bowl appearance yet they got there, they improved with the players they had. It comes down to execution its as simple as that.

Manningham the guy thats known for dropping balls caught a miracle catch that put them in a position to win

Welker who catch's everything didn't pull one in that would have extended the drive to eat more time off the clock and possibly put points on the board and win the game.

That's all this game came down to.

That's all this game came down to.

A lot of games this playoff season came down to a play or two. The Superbowl, Pats-Ravens, Giants-49ers. It was an exciting playoff season.

Look how many QB's passed for 5000 yards this year. Even Eli got in on the action and took #6 in most yards passing per season! Not sure I like that actually. Seems the NFL has gotten away from the run game and it's now a pass-happy league. I'm looking forward to what the 2012 season brings.

I dont like a pass happy league even though the patriots have brady amazing TE's and slot receivers (just lacking a big deep threat receiver). They have molded the league into a pass happy league b/c of the rules and calls made on QB hits. Hits that should just be a part of football. I'm talking about the OVER protection of QB's. I'm all about player safety, I want to see big name players play again the following season.

They playoffs were good with a lot of close plays to swing games. The 49ers giving 10 points to the giants b/c of lost balls on punt returns was huge and a game swinger. That offense this year was to good to not score when just given the ball on the 20-30 yard line despite how good the 49ers defense was.

I have a question for you NFL fans about teams that cannot re-sign their own players because of the salary cap. I've suggested that that a player drafted by a team or signed as an undrafted free agent should only have 80% of their salary count against the cap.

For example: The Giants would like to keep Manningham but they can't. Nicks' contract is due in 2013 and Cruz's in 2014. They can't put that much $ into the WR position.

If they only had to charge 80% to the cap and they paid Nicks 7M per year, Cruz 6M and Manningham 5M, the real payout would be 18M per year. With the 20% original player discount it would only cost 14.4M in cap dollars.

The Pats drafted both of their young TE's the same year. They would probably like to re-sign both of those guys. Maybe instead of 10M against the cap it would cost them 8M cap dollars.

Does anyone agree with this? Can you see anyone that could get hurt if this became a rule?

and if I hear another thing about the browns moving up to #2 spot to draft RGIII I am going to flip! Rams sure are gonna make out though come draft day. I hope it not the Browns giving them picks to them though.
