Tri State Cylinder Head in Evansville Indiana sells them for $450 a pair complete, new castings and new parts. .600 lift springs and a 5 angle valve job. Thats where I got mine. I paid $504 delivered to my door. Their # is (812) 421-0095. I live in Indiana but it only took a week to get them. They build them when you order.

Get the TFS spring kit, use the stock size valves.. new ones tho. Pay for the insurance now, instead of later.

That is a damn good deal. Go for it!

I bought mine on ebay. They were bought as bare castings, manley valves, 0.550 springs, and ported. They had about 5000 miles on them. I bought those and Mac P headers for 520 shipped.

Bubba,

How do you like the heads on your shortblock? Did you use the heads on a 302 before? I am thinking about eventually getting a 347, mass air, injectors, TB and a tune. Just wondering how much seat of the pants power there will be. Have you dynoed your car?

When the car gets a few miles on it, it is getting dyno time and same goes for 1/4 mile times. I bought these when my oil pump went out and decided that if the motor is coming out I am building a little something (168,000 miles). I only had so much money. My Stang was all stock at the time and I was gonna do a 306 but went with the 347 because it ended up being about $200 more to build because I needed everything anyway (tb, mass air, injectors, etc) no matter which way I went. I know I am choking the 347 a bit but I figured the 347 for $200 more is a better foundation to start with, I can always upgrade.
