Going to buy some headers this week!! Will Flowtech shorties fit 40P heads? That is why I am still running stock headers and I just made up my mind to get a set.

They will fit but you will not be able to reach the spark plugs with the headers on and the wires will probably be touching the headers, so technically they will fit but they wont work. Go with the single flange frpp P specific headers.

FRPP "P" headers were the best fitting headers I have ever used. I'd get those.

Either heads are great!! Ported they are even better!!

M-9430-P50 in a stainless header. M-9430-C50 and M-9430-P51 in Jet Hot.

Ford Racing Parts and Accessories at great prices has the stainless for $239 and the Jet Hot for $329.

I have read in many diferent threads on a few different forums that the BBK unequal length shorties also work very well.

No. I think you're right. I don't know where I got that number from.

Last time i checked (and it's been a while) some of the shorty plugs costed 2-3 times as much.
Multiply that by 8, and consider you may change the plugs and in no time at all you land up not saving any money.
And if by chance the header burns your wire anyway, again now you need more plug wires.

IMO, just economize by buying the right headers.
