gt40p heads enough for my 331?

i bought a stock engine frmo a guy in my area. It was in great shape, complete and was only 150$. I bought a nodular iron crank (will support way more than my needs), and forged I beams. Im still up in the air on pistons choice b/c of the head issue. and the machine shop says i have to wait to buy the pistons before i give the blcok to them so they can measure them.

sweet modular. You're going to need a spring upgrade on the AFR's with either of those cams.

89white50, It's all in the combo fella's...everyones intentions and expectations are a little different. What is a daily driver to me may be a weekend warrior to you, and visa versa. I use a lot of Probe pistons, if you need a set let me know

Mustangsally, you say you already have a DART 331. What are the pistons specs? Flat top, dish, dome? This will also help narrow down the head choice. Is it NA, N2O or Boosted? I personally would not use any of the heads you mentioned above.

Modular, go with a solid roller and I'll ship you out my old N2O custom billet cam. .688 lift 268/272 duration you'll have to spin it 8000rpms though Actaully I have not really been inpressed with the TFS cams that I have used, if you want a shelf cam to work with the N2O there are better grinds. If your going to use the stock AFR springs you are limited to a point...

what cam would you recommend rick? I guess if i do go with a solid roller setup i will have to upgrade the springs anyway.....a solid roller setup is so dang expensive though.....hmmmm 8000rpm

Rick, I got a novi-2000 and 100 shot of spray. the pistions are flat. Help if you can, and yes I got the block but I'm no where close to it because I'm now back in iraq.
