I have a 1969 Grande mustang, i just built a new motor for it,

80' truck block
90 stock internals
gt40p heads:mad:
and bbk 1515 headers

I knew i had to get new headers when useing the P heads but my problem isn't the spark plugs, my shock tower to header clearance isn't anywhere near right. I don't know what to do..... anyone experienced same problems?

What headers has anyone used in the 69'? I heard mac longtubes fit the 68' but i have already spent the money on the BBK's.

I'm assuming you have the Fox Mustang P headers (?).

I'd been looking for headers that would fit the GT40P's in the '65/66's for a while. Always heard the Fox Mustang headers won't clear, and only ever found one place that made classic Mustang headers for the P's, but they wanted A LOT of money...too much. The only other option is use cast manifolds.

In the end, I just got a pair of GT40's that are gonna replace the GT40P's.
