Sorry guys, not my car. My brothers 86 GT. He has been working with the car all year, and it seems every race it goes faster and faster. Last weekend he ran a local event and got a new best.

11.708 @ 115.39

Hopefully the cooler weather brings about some 11.6xs and eventually 11.5xs. Still a street car, stock T5, stock bottom end, custom cam, unported GT40Ps with some good valve train, Cobra intake, TB, MAF, LTs, Xpipe, Dumped mufflers, and the suspension is set up right. It's no NMRA car, but I hope it keeps getting faster and faster.

He might be getting some AFR 185s this winter, if my father chooses to step up, but for now it's fun seeing how fast the GT40Ps will go.

Theres more too it than GT40Ps, they have good valves, springs, and a valve job, not to mention roller rockers. The bottem end was freshened up, and no it is not a flat top bottem end, it came from a 91.

The suspension set up I would have to ask, it has a tubular front end, LCAs, UCAs, springs and air bag etc... 4.10s with 31 spline axles.

The car runs hard, but even a bolt on terminator would stomp it in mph. 115mph is childs play for a terminator.

I posted a video some time back from an event at LVD. I was driving the car on that pass and went 11.8xx at around 114 or so.

I know the day he went 11.70 he did cut a 1.54 earlier in the day, but his recall of the 11.70 pass he mentioned spinning out of the hole and no number for the 60'. My guess would be a high 1.5x.

Those are great times! I love seeing stock like cars going that fast.

And S&B....I'm offended by the Terminator comment! .....................j/k!!!!! Mine runs 124MPH but I won't tell you the E/T. It sucks. LOL!!!!

This area has some good tracks. The one from the video is the worst with DAs usually in the 2000-3500 range. The New Hampshire and New Jersey tracks are both very close to sea level. We usually run a tenth or two better at either one.

The car is not gutted per say, it has all the interior panels, seats, rear seat delete, heat, stereo etc... but it does have a cage, and I believe the PO removed all the sound dedener. The car was originally going to get a 352 stroker, but that went into a different car and we had the GT40P motor around. Went from a mid 12 second motor to almost mid 11s with a cam swap, some tweaking and suspension work.

If he gets the AFRs the intake will also change. We have an old school Eldelbrock street intake that might go on, possibly ported. The problem is, if the car doesn't run low 11s with the heads and intake, it's going to be a let down.

Wow, pretty awesome. It it carbed? Or EFI? What cam did you swap to?

The cam is a custom cam, I'm unsure of the specs on it. Not secret, just something I have never actually asked for the exact numbers.

The car is EFI, 24 lb injectors, Cobra intake (off a burnt up 93 Cobra), 70mm TB... We drive the car on the street some (less and less now) and with the 10 holes and 225 street radials it's not even a lot of fun to drive.

Kdub, mph is an indicator of power, et is an indicator of getting it to the ground and down the track. His car only makes a bit over 300 rwhp (not sure on the exact number, 308 or 313 comes to mind), which is why it only traps 115 mph.
