GT40P's Stock Cam?

Hey guys, after all that debate about the xe270hr-14, i got to thinking. i am on a budget and i already have the stock cam, so on an untouched explorer motor with supporting bolt-ons, what kind of numbers N/A would i be looking at with our stock cam retarded 4 degrees with 1.7 rockers??? Based on some research, it seems as if this makes for a killer street setup (low end torque), its a stock cam so the drivability will still be awesome, and will be perfect for forced induction down the road. What do you guys think???

A few rules of thumb :D

Advance or Retard of a cam is about shifting the power band

Advance will shift it downward for a stronger low end
Retard will of course be the opposite

Since the oem stuff falls like a rock around 5K .......
Can you see the thinking of why one might consider sacrificing
a bit of low end for additional high end

As for the rockers

If moving from oem rockers to 1.7 roller rockers ...........
One would gain from two advantages

1) Reduced friction from the rollers
2) Increased lift of the valve

The gain is gonna fall between 5 & 10 rwhp and IMHO ..........
its gonna be closer to 5 than 10 from what all I've seen

ok makes much more sense now heh, so i've been contemplating, considering that i may change in the near future and 1.6 rockers are more favorable when it comes to P/V clearance and high lift cams, esp. with this longblock, you think i should just stick the stock 1.6 rockers on there? or would the 1.7 roller rockers be worth the investment?
