I noticed that some people with pre-07s had to cut the center tab because there wasn't a hole for a retainer. My 07 GT recently had the rear bumper installed and it luckily had the hole for the center tab. However, the tab doesn't fit extremely tight. I even bought an oversized 1/2" retainer but it's not ultra tight.
I crawled under a 2013 GT at work and noticed these have 2 center tabs, which I expect to provide additional reinforcement. Has anyone with a 07-09 GT500 rear bumper noticed issues with the bumper flapping in the wind? I heard someone with a GT500 in Germany with the rear bumper flying off at high speeds.
