GT500.....worth how much if real??

There's a lot of non-concourse stuff on there from what I can see but the price is reasonable. Of course the '68 hardtop 350s are the lowest value of all the classic Shelby's if I recall. Due mainly to being the largest produced year and not cobra-jet equipped.

Have you checked that VIN with SAAC yet?

authenticity

The car looks to be genuine, although some mods underhood, but do the research before spending anything!!!!

Go to the SAAC site (www.saac.com) and find the registrars section, and e-mail the 68 registrar with the car's info. I know the registrar very well, and he has documentation foe every car, and probably knows more about it than the current owner.

:nice: Two minutes of time well spent..

The original options for #1261 shows it to be a 1968 Hertz Rental car,
Candy apple red
Black interior
automatic transmission
hubcap car
no air conditioning, (this is odd, as the Hertz cars were almost all a/c cars, I wonder if the a/c has been removed)
and a tilt away wheel

Sold by S&C Motors of San Francisco..

based on the pix,, I think that $37,000 would be on the high end..
