any ideas if the carbon fiber hoods from the upcoming gt500kr's will fit an 07 gt?
any ideaaa wat the weight savings would be? (approximately?)
any ideas if they would even be available (eventually) from the parts dept?

www.mrbodykit.com has a few very similar hoods that will fit your '07.

a guy i know that owns a gt500 looked into the kr parts and he was told the hood alone would cost 4-5K because of special tooling to design/manufacture the hood.

not sure if i believe their answer, but i believe the guy i know was quoted that.

aside from the mrbodykit one, cervinis has a KR replica hood. and fang performance's mystery 8 hood resembles the kr hood, but also requires their grill fascia.

Wow I would definately tell someone to get a head check if they quoted $4-5K for a CF hood. Unless he is having one custom made for his car only. Tha price is WAYYY out of line. Even for CF.
