Anyone have the M-5230-GTA axle-back mufflers? I can't find any documentation on the tips, I want to know if they are polished aluminum or chrome - I just can't tell from pictures!
I have them also. I polish mine with Mothers and they look great imo. You do have to wipe them down at least weekly to keep the 4" rolled tips looking good.
I do not know where you are looking at them at but the one's that I have do not have "Ford Racing" embossed on the tips like you see in some of the pics on the websites....make sure you read the fine print.

I don't think I have ever seen a pair of the GTA's with any script embossed on them, sure you aren't thinking of the stingers?
Thanks for the advice on the weekly wipe-downs though, I usually try to keep my car washed every week but the winters do get challenging. Might have to give the tips some extra attention to keep them nice !
Not bashing anyone's site but here was what I was talking about - may be totally different but it shows embossed tips and has M-5230-GTA in part number and advertised as Ford Racing Muffler. Who knows these may come with emboss.... You can always ask.
