Looking at a car that has a rebuilt motor from 2009...motor only has about 40k on it. Unfortunately I don't have much information on the car except this engine build sheet -

Factory 5.0 Block, Stock Forged Pistons with High Tension rings, honed bores.
ARP rod , main bolts and head studs
Stock 5.0 oil pump
Balanced bottom end
Comp Cams custom cam 218in/220ex degree .512/.512 lift/114 lobe centres
Ford Motorsports roller lifters
Edelbrock Performer Aluminum heads 1.94/1.60 valves
Chambers reshaped and blended at valve seats
Multiangle valve job
Cut for Felpro wirelock head gaskets
Intake ports matched to Felpro 1250 intake gasket
Exhaust Port walls blended from cnc port opening into runners
Extrude Honed Ported
Comp Cams dual valve springs
Crane HD pushrods
Ford Motorsports Cobra intake manifold
Ford Motorsports 65mm Throttlebody
24lb Ford Motorsports Injectors with 190LPH fuel pump
MSD Billet electronic ignition distributor
MSD 7AL ignition module with MSD wires and cap
Crane H.O Coil

Sorry for the wall of text...I'm waiting to hear back from the company that built it but looking for some guesses.

thanks

EDIT - Exhaust is
BBK Ported 1 5/8 equal length headers
Bassani X Pipe with High Flow Cats
2.5 inch borla mufflers

Has underdrive pullies and KN intake.

I don't do HP guesses. They are about as useless as on a wall.

It looks like it should run nicely though. It also looks like it's ready for boost.

Thanks ! From what I was told it was set up for boost - I may need to add down the road. Looking for general thoughts on the build...its from a reputable shop...just done almost 8 years ago.

I don't believe so...I believe it was the old 302 that was used for the rebuild.

My brother ran a setup based on the same Edelbrock 1.90/1.60 heads with a cam that had similar specs on his '95 GT.

It made 291 at the wheels on a Dynojet.

That's an old school solid and well matched combo. Anywhere in the 390-310rwhp range. Above all it should be putting down great average power with very little fuss and mess on the street.

Finally picking this car up tonight !

Very excited...it's been very well taken care also has a few other goodies.

FMS Billet steel flywheel
FMS King Cobra Clutch
FMS Throw out bearing
Stock T5 transmission
FMS Aluminum driveshaft
8.8 rear end with auburn 3.55's
FMS HD 31 Spline Axles
Cobra Aluminum Radiator
Electric fan

Car does have a bit of seeping from the oil pan so I will need to get that lovely gasket changed eventually.

Plan is to add boost next year.

Nope - had a delay in purchasing it so finally picking up tonight.

Hopefully have it on the dyno in the next month or so.

Previous owner states 327 RWHP and 290 TQ without a tune

Oil pan leaking could also be from a bad PCV. Once they stop functioning properly the pressure builds up inside the block and exits through the gaskets. PCV's are inexpensive and would be the first thing I'd replace before the dyno and it may stop the leak.

Also, don't get caught up in chasing dyno numbers. Most important is how well the car performs and feels while rowing through the gears on the street. If the car has already been dyno'd (which seems it has been) then it's a waste of money to go do it again. If the car is already putting down 327rwhp without a tune then it must be dialed in pretty good already. Unless the car has driveability issues the car will not need to be tuned any further. Just my opinion.
