Hello,

I'm sorry to do this but I could use some assistance, as I'm not at all up on wheel vendors (being poor makes me normally not pay attention or I'd end up doing something stupid ).

I've had an itch for some wheels for the '88 GT vert. I'm still sporting 4 lugs and don't plan on changing. I'd like to get some 17" Chrome/polished wheels of some sort (I'm not real picky). Where are the cool vendors with less expensive offerings? I tried a search but couldn't make myself sift through all the 5 lug stuff. Of course, links are very much welcome and appreciated

Thanks for any input and thoughts!

It seems like the most popular 4 lug rim are the Cobra R's. White, Silver, Black, or chrome. I love the 93 cobra wheels. I havent look into rims really for 4 luggers, sorry I cant help.

Check out the Mustang magazines, their prices are quite competitive. AFS and OE Wheel Concepts offer 17" Cobra Rs and I think 17" Saleen copies pretty cheap. And Y2K Cobras. I've even seen some selling the new Shelby rims in 4-lug copy sizings.

93 Cobras are almost always cool too

Tire Rack, OE, all those places have some 4 lugs, either by FRPP, or aftermarket. Got the obligatory Welds on mine, they still make their rims, just in the polished though. Your chrome is on most of the FRPP rims- I'm thinking the 03 Cobra 4 lugs look pretty cool on a fox. I'm also gonna be wanting some ungouged 10 holers, for show duty, probably this year. Not so easy to find! Could try 5.0 Resto, Mustangs Unlimited, Year One, might cost, but they do have varying selections of 4 luggers.

ROH also makes some really nice wheels. The ZS's (which are discontinued) are really nice, as are the Snypers. Boyd Coddington makes some nice 4-lug wheels but they're quite pricey. If you check out www.corral.net they have a wheels/tires section with a thread at the tip with hundreds of wheel choices for foxes. Have a look over there!

I'm a big fan of the ROH ZS and Snypers, but they're a bit on the pricey side. I love the '93 Cobras but only on a GT.

Thanks for all of the replies guys.

I've been scoping the stuff out and was just trying to ensure I haven't missed the boat on particular vendors/sites that have the good deals. So far I haven't come across anything in chrome or polished (four lug 17's) for less than about 175 shipped each.
If there are new wheels out there for cheaper, where should I be looking?

Oh, I do scope the Corral ads often (I swap a fair amount of parts over there) but no one has had anything in my price range *and* been willing to send me any decent pics. Homie won't buy wheels based on a picture of all four (normally all dirty), taken from 15 feet away.
I've been scopin stuff over there for awhile now, to no avail. It was my first place to try and find something, and would be a great place to get something if it worked out.

Thanks again!

Hit up your local craigslist. Sometimes there are deals. Good luck.

I got a set of 4 lug cobra R rims on my pony now. When I get back from Iraq I'm going to do a 5 lug change. I was going to make a table out of the rims but if you want to buy them you can. I go home for leave around the 20th of may, if you can wait a little longer I'll send you better and more up to date pics of the rims. They have been on my pony for about a year and only about 5,000 miles.

If you want them you can buy them?

I have the cobra Y2K's in 16" an like them a lot, but the 17" gives you a lot more tire size options.
