Guys how should i break in my new engine.

Ok guys im getting ready to install my new MMR street mod 900 forged shortblock and stage 2 MMR heads and new stage 2 crower cams and springs and high volume oil pump. Ok so how should i go about breaking in this motor? I plan on using synthetic oil in this motor. If you could just give me a few pointers on this please. THanks guys

first of all dont use synthetic oil right away....big no no!!! use regular 10w30 oil for the first 1000 miles or so. this is to ensure that the piston rings seat into the cylinder walls well. you should run the car very lightly for 300 miles. then change the oil and filter and run for another 500 miles. then change oil and filter again. then run for another 500 miles and change over to synthetic. after you put synthetic in i would wait for another 500 miles or so before i go wild with it. you just spent alot of money on an engine. dont get stupid with it and hurt it by running it too early.. you will be sorry. enjoy all the new power and let us know how you like it.:SNSign:
