not true....I just passed smog with my Magnaflow x-pipe

They will pass the sniffer test but NOT the visual. There are places that will still do it, but they are not supposed to. Just find a place that will do it. In cali they will only let you go to the same smog place 2 or 3 times.

Claytucc3 is right regarding the Magnaflow catted X in California. Even though its catted it has fewer cats than stock making it illegal even though it passes the sniffer.

They are legal in most states, but as previously mentioned not in California (glad I don't live there anymore...). My car passed the tail pipe test with no problems and they didn't give me any grief on the visual inspection either.

so its a crap shoot with the x pipe out here (i'm in simi valley). is it worth the hassle for the gain you see? if i got pulled over with the one that has cats, would the cop know the difference?
