1 3/4 longtubes
42lb injectors
255lph intank pump



Does that sound right??

need more info...like what hp making parts you will be using...displacement/heads/blower/boost amount etc

Yes, we need more. And 500hp on a stock block could be scary...if it is a stock block

okay..... COMPLETE build.

Stock 89 shortblock, brand new bearings rings & oil pump, flycut pistons
Holley systemax 2
Patriot performance 185s (possibly getting them worked over?)
Jay allen custom cam
Ford racing lifters
scorpion 1.6 RRs
Not sure on S/C.... I would like to find a nice used novi 2000 though, 10 lbs.


Do those sizes sound about right?

I would have Jay rework those heads, they will need it. Or sell them and get a good set of TW's or Canfields from Jay as a package deal with your cam. If you deside to keep the Patriots, don't be surprised if you end up sinking more than $500 in parts and machining to get them right. If you have talked to Jay about them you know what the Patriot issues are.

Oh, stock Ford lifters? I would get a good set of link-bars or Comp 851-16 lifters. You may end up with a heavy spring with Jay's cam (mine are 205/440), and a stock lifter will fail.

Will i need better lifters than Ford racing lifters??

also, i've been planning on having thumper work my heads over... Would jay do a better job?




lastly, do the 80mm TB and 1 3/4 LTs sound about right as far as sizes??

the novi should do it no problem, but you will want more than 42 lb. squirters. just buy sixties and get it tuned.
