Ok so i have decided on my combo tmoss thumper tf stage 1 2500 stall ive got 373 already and underdrive pullies headers and exhaust so what else should i do? 24lb injectors and meter chip afpr? all help would be great or would i be fine with the 19lb injectors

Once you have your combo all together, I would recomend you have it tuned or do it yourself. upgrade to an electric fan, bigger alt. and enjoy the new found power.

After that, Focus on suspension mods (you will need them with a combo like that) You could also save up some $$ and have your AOD worked over if you haven't had that done already.

I would suggest getting the 24lb injectors with the correct MAF and an adjustable fuel pressure regulator like you stated.

It would be best for overall happiness...

The car is a 87 with criuse and i am going to do a mass swap with the h/c/i as for the stall i want to be able to drive it daily is it my only source of transport i dont want to have to do injectors and matching sensor if its not needed i want the omptimal extras i need with my combo i just dont want to have to fool with it all the time to make it run right just put it together set the timing and fp and drive it maybe mess with the timing a little or the fp but until i have another car i dont want to go all out

3000 stall is fine for street driving due to the aod having lock up in d and od. h/c/i is going to cause more problems than a high stall converter. a h/c/i swap will not be faster than the stock motor with a GOOD CUSTOM CONVERTER.

so a stall only is going to be faster then a breathing moter i dont know how that can be this is my first rodeo with a stang but not the first overall ive had a 12 second s10 v8 and a 12 second duster so i dont know how a converter is going to turn a 15 second car to a 13 second car

well a stock stang starts pulling best around 2800rpms so a 3000 stall will put it there instantly. you put h/c/i and move the rpm range up another 500-700rpms which will slow the lower rpms down then the added power will only put you back little better than from before due to top end power. i hope this helps explain it.

yes, better flowing h/c/i will make better power but you will need a converter stalled right to take FULL advantage of it.

ya i know that a higher stall will be at the optemum place for it but this is my daily driver and only transport so i need the milage of a 2500 where the overdrive works and i dont over heat the tranny

I think this is a better way to put it...

Than this...(that is a bit misleading)

you wont lose milage or overheat as long as you stay with a lock-up converter. because the stall will have no effect in drive or overdrive. it will be just like stock in those two gears.

ive ran agianst a phead/explorer intake/ecam car that had a cheap 2200 stall b&m converter. and beat him, walked away from him off the line but he started closine the gap towards the end of the track. it was close,if he had a good converter to get out of the hole he would have spanked me bad.
